Congrats to Emilee Morton!

Senior BPAS student, Emilee Morton was recently accepted to the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point. Emilee was award a partial scholarship as a dance major in UWSP’s School of Theatre & Dance. Emilee is the daughter of Nathan & Sherry Morton and a senior at Wando High School in Mount Pleasant, SC.

We are very proud of Emilee and her accomplishments. She has blossomed as a dancer within her two years at Broadway Performing Arts Studios. Emilee is a hard-working focused student who thoroughly enjoys dancing, which is prevalent when you observe her, both on stage and in class!

Students from Broadway Performing Arts Studios going to study in NYC!

Each summer School Director Kirk Sprinkles invites 12 -15 students to NYC for one week to study intensively at some of the finest schools in the world with some of the greatest instructors, choreographers, Broadway performers and casting directors in the business. This year will make his third annual trip! Students receive a crash course on the life of a professional dancer/singer/actor. “We do not sugar coat anything, we believe in teaching our students about the reality of the business.” The students take non-stop classes, see numerous Broadway shows and of course a bit of site seeing!

9 Year-Old Student Chosen to Audition for “America’s Got Talent”!

Child on Road to Stardom

Nine-year-old Caroline Rhett recently received an exciting phone call from the producers of the hit television competition America’s Got Talent, after submitting a video recording of her singingShe has been invited to audition for the producers of the show live in Atlanta, Ga., on Feb. 21. If selected, she will then advance to their up- coming televised season.

Caroline is the daughter of Robert and Karen Rhett of Mount Pleasant. She is in the fourth grade at Mount Pleasant Academy and a student of Broadway Performing Arts Studios in Mount Pleasant.

Rhett studies private voice with Mr. Alton Cox as well as a member of A League of Their Own Singers at B.P.A.S. She also studies acting, ballet and jazz dance at Broadway Performing Arts Studios.

At the young age of 9, she has already performed in numerous productions through B.P.A.S, most recently A Holiday Spectacular and Christmas Cocktails. She has also performed for local radio station Y102.5, Goodwill’s Gala Fashion Show at the Francis Marion Hotel and the Charleston Animal Society.
